Despite the accolades that the two coasts of the United States get, it’s undeniable that Missouri has been the leading export of up-and-coming talent in recent times (here’s a hint: two Lollapallooza main-stage phenoms that garnered unfathomable crowd sizes within the past two years were both Show-Me State natives.) As a born-and-raised Missouri smokeshow myself, I can complain with utmost authority that the Midwest has been horrifically neglected by major names in the music industry for years.
